Here is an unusual scotty pin from the Depression Era. It is the dog's head only, which faces forward. The detail is amazing; the little dog's face is very realistic. The silver-plate pin has a nice patina, with the recessed areas darkened with age. The pin is hollow and is 5/8" thick. It is 1 1/8" high and 1" wide. The fittings include a safety catch and indicate a date of around 1920-1930. The pin is in excellent original condition. It weighs 5.1 grams.
