This ca. 1900-1920 brooch is made of brass. It was patinated originally to be darker around the design elements to make them stand out, and this patina is intact. The design shows an Arts & Crafts influence. The oval stone in the center is bezel set and faceted front and back. It is clear and purple and looks like an amethyst but is glass. This pin is in excellent original condition. It measures 3" across X 2 1/4" high. There is no safety catch, just a C-catch, typical of the period. An earring back or stickpin guard slipped onto the pin bar before clasping can act as a safety.
Gender: Female, Age Group: Adult, Color: brass & purple glass, Size: 3" X 2 1/4"
