This handmade Native American pin is around 100 years old and is typical of the pieces sold through Fred Harvey's hotel gift shops throughout the Southwest during the early twentieth century. There is a pretty green turquoise cabochon stone in the center of this little brooch; it is bezel-set. The clasp and hinge are ca. 1920. The pin is marked "sterling" on the back. It measures 1 1/2" long by just over 1/2" wide and weighs 4.4 grams. This little pin has the appeal of Native American design, hand-work, and age to recommend it.
