This sterling silver ring features a green and white bisque full-figure cameo from Josiah Wedgwood of England. The cameo depicts a Greek male figure, probably a god, leaning on an anchor. He has his chin in his hand. The ring is round with a 7/8" diameter surface. The cameo itself measures 9/16" in diameter; it is surrounded by a decorative bezel with an ornate, open setting. The ring is cast in two parts; the lower portion is like a flower with upward-curving petals that meet the tips of the top setting. One can see "Wedgwood" incised into the cameo through the opening in the back. There are hallmarks on the inside of the band next to "JW," (Josiah Wedgwood). This ring is a ladies' size 6. It is an older estate piece, dating from midcentury or perhaps earlier. It is in excellent vintage condition with no issues. It weighs 8 grams.
