Depression-Era Chrome Ice Bucket with Caramel Bakelite Handles
This handsome ice bucket dates from Prohibition (1920-1933). It is made of chrome and is of very fine quality. The maker is Manning & Bowman of Meriden, CT; it is so marked on the bottom. The bucket is functional. The interior is mercury glass held in place with cork insulation. The trim is caramel bakelite. This bucket has an Art Deco style. It would be a great addition to your barware collection. It measures 8" across the handles and is 7 1/2" tall. The condition is fine; there are a few scratches on the chrome but nothing unexpected for a 90 year old piece. There are no dents or disfigurements; the piece is functional.
