This delicately hand-painted ceramic pin was probably painted by a talented hobbyist of the early twentieth century, when it was the fashion for ladies to decorate china themselves. The design of three full-blown pink roses and green foliage is accented by fancy raised gold decoration around the edge. The ceramic portion is an oval button attached by 6 prongs to a brass backing. There is a simple C-catch which helps date this pin around 1900-1930. The pin measures 2" X 1 9/16." This sweet pin is in excellent original condition.
