Here is an unusual pair of screw-back earrings dating from between 1900 and 1920. They are all original and in excellent condition. They are gold-filled with a thin layer of 10K gold across the fronts; this is called "gold top" among the trade. The tops, or fronts, are shield-shaped and beautifully engraved with a Victorian era design, both geometric and floral in nature. Each earring measures 3/4" X 1/2" across. There are no marks. These earrings would go beautifully with a gold or gold-filled bar pin from the same era.
