Two large, abstract roses have been carved into the face of this chunky 1930's bakelite pin. The design has movement; the surrounding foliage goes in different directions. There are two areas which are pierced. The carving is a little over 1/8" deep with good relief and polished cuts; the slashes around the edge are not polished as much. This pin is 3" across, 1 7/8" high, and 5/16" thick. The back is smoothly polished and has a lighter area where it has been polished with Simichrome polish. This shows the patina that has developed with age. The brass pin bar is riveted into the back of the pin, and there is a safety catch. This pin is in excellent original condition.
