This ironstone pottery pitcher is not marked but is probably English in manufacture. The style of the piece dates it around 1880-1890. The piece has a fancy handle and a nice molded design. It has been used very little and consequently is in excellent original condition. The gold decoration is only a bit worn on the handle and around the rim. There is crazing of the glaze. The flow blue design appears to be hand-painted and is different on each side. The design is floral and accented with gold. This pitcher stands 9" tall and is 7" wide. The base is 5" in diameter.
