This traditional quilt is so pretty with its pink and white baskets and fabulous quilting! The bright pink cotton helps to date this quilt from the Depression Era; this color was used extensively between 1930 and 1950. The piecing is perfectly done by machine. The appliqued basket handles have incredibly tiny hand stitching. The design is enclosed with a pretty triangle border and pink hand stitched binding. The quilting is 12 stitches per inch, by a master of the craft. She has embellished this simple basket design with feather circles and a feather wreath border, adding dimension. This quilt was made for a 3/4 bed, between a single and a full, popular during the era. It measures 68" X 82" and will fit a twin bed nicely. The quilt is 100% bright-white and pink cotton. It is washable in the washing machine and may be placed in the dryer as well. It has been recently cleaned and is in excellent original condition. There is some very slight yellowing in one corner (shown in the photographs). This quilt was found in Indiana.
