This delicate little pendant is around 100-125 years old, Edwardian period. It is 10K gold, marked on the bail, and shown with a 15" 14K chain. It could be European or American. This lavalier has a fancy modified teardrop shape with a baroque pearl dropping from the bottom. A tiny European-cut diamond dangles from the top of the open teardrop. Above the diamond is a tiny natural pearl. The pendant is 1 3/8" long and 1/2" wide. Lavaliers were often given as engagement gifts around the turn of the twentieth century. This period piece is in excellent original condition (the chain is not original). The necklace weighs 1.1 grams.
