This bright pink & white patchwork quilt dates from the Depression Era; this cotton-candy pink was a favorite color of the era because it was so happy and cheerful. The design is a log cabin type called "Pineapple." This pattern signifies hospitality, so perhaps this quilt was used on the guest room bed. The piecing is entirely by hand, including the long seams and binding; the hand quilting is beautifully done at 7-8 stitches per inch. The quilt is in excellent original, but used, condition. It is very soft. This newly washed quilt is 100% cotton and may be washed in the washing machine on cold and dried in the dryer. It measures 76" X 84" and is shown on a full sized bed.
