Simpson, Hall & Miller Company of Wallingford, Conn. was bought out by International Silver Company, who still produces some of its designs. The "Warwick" pattern, originating in 1898, is one of these designs. This sterling silver butter knife has a wide, elegant blade; it could be used as a cheese knife or pate knife. It is solid with good weight, 39.9 grams. The handle is in pristine condition; the blade shows minor signs of usage in keeping with its age of well over 100 years. The knife has no monogram. It is 1" wide by 7 1/4" long.
