These larger-size bakelite clips show excellent workmanship and detail in the carving and polishing. Each clip has a design of leaves and a seed pod and is a mirror image of the other. The seed pod has light brown coloring added in the recessed areas. The clips look two-toned in color as a result. The backs are smoothly polished. These clips date from the 1930's. Each measures 2 1/2" long X 1 1/4" wide X 3/8" thick. These clips are in very nice original condition. On the inside of the metal portion is a patent number, 1852188. These clips would really set off a tweed or camel-colored jacket. They would look fabulous clipped to the brim of a beige beret. Or come up with your own original idea of how to wear them.
