Likely dating from the 1950's, this whimsical silver pin is a souvenir of Florida, likely purchased on a road trip or honeymoon. It is of molded construction but of good weight and excellent finishing and craftsmanship. It features a well-depicted flamingo sporting a red glass eye. Other motifs include the beach, a palm tree, a sea shell, and a sailboat. The pin is 1 5/8" tall and 1/3/4" wide; it weighs 8.2 grams. It is marked "sterling" on the back. The pin is in excellent original condition with a nice patina of age. There is a functional safety catch.
