This rectangular brass picture frame is of the tabletop variety and has a folding easel on the back. It is an estate piece and dates from the early twentieth century. The 4 3/8" X 5 7/8" frame is of cast construction. There is a raised floral frieze around the edge of the frame. The brass has been patinated with a gold-colored finish that is in fine original condition. The back, also brass, fits snugly inside of the frame. There is a mark on the easel, "May 18, 1908," probably a patent date. The original glass is included, along with a Victorian studio-card photograph. It opens by pushing against the glass from the front. The frame is in excellent original condition. The photograph is not original.
