100% cotton floral prints make up the colorful fabrics in this ca. 1950-1960 geometric-design quilt. The white fabric used is a fine-quality cotton with a sheen. The quilt is a creamy white color and will probably whiten a bit when washed for the first time. The quilt is in pristine condition; it has never been used. It is carefully machine-pieced but hand-quilted at 7-8 stitches per inch. The modern cotton batting inside is puffy so that the feather-wreath quilting design really stands out. There is a hand-stitched binding. The quilt is shown on a full-sized bed and measures a generous 80" X 94." It could be used on a queen sized bed as well. This quilt was found in the Chicago area.
