Here is an antique plate of flow blue pottery that is almost like a bowl. It measures 10 1/2" in diameter and is 1" deep. It is perfect for serving pasta or a large salad. The material is sturdy ironstone pottery with a deep cobalt blue transfer underglaze. The bold design is both floral and scenic. The maker is English potter G. L. Ashworth; the pattern "Yedo." The mark indicates a date of manufacture of 1862-1890, so this is an older plate, and meant for everyday use. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, chips, stains, or wear. The glaze does have minor crazing.
