Native American Silver and Turquoise Drop Earrings
These hand-wrought drop earrings are sterling silver (not marked but tested) and of Zuni origin. There are 10 oval hand-cut and -set turquoises around the perimeter of the cluster design with "raindrops" between the stones; in the center is an inlaid circle with coral, turquoise, mother-of-pearl, and onyx typical of Zuni work. The turquoise stones are a natural bluish-green in color. The turquoise-bearing ear pieces are posts for pierced ears. Five sterling rods drop off the bottom of each earring. These lovely earrings drop 2 1/4" from the earlobe and are 15/16" in diameter. These earrings date from the 1980's and are in excellent original condition. The pair weighs 10.7 grams.
Gender: Female, Age Group: Adult, Color: silver, turquoise, white, black, red, Size: 15/16" X 2 1/4"
