A beautiful nearly perfect turquoise stone is the centerpiece of this Navaho pendant. The stone is an asymmetrical and highly polished cabochon. It is a clear robin's egg blue with some lighter speckles near the top; there is brown matrix at the bottom. The pendant measures 2 3/8" long and 2" wide; the stone is 1 1/2" X 1 1/8" across. There are raised etched feathers, with black behind, around the perimeter, accented with round "raindrops." This pendant looks as if the bail has been altered and enlarged to accommodate a neck ring or black leather cord. The workmanship on this pendant is fine and the condition is excellent. There are no marks, but it tests sterling. It dates from around 1970-1980. It weighs 26.9 grams.
Gender: Female, Age Group: Adult, Color: silver, black, turquoise, Size: 2 3/8" X 2"
