This very pretty quilt features a large embroidered basket of daffodils in the center and many more daffodils scattered across its surface. The hand-embroidery work is meticulous chain stitching in yellow, green, and brown with the daffodils accurately and elegantly depicted. The style of the basket dates this quilt as pre-World War II. The quilt has a wide 8" yellow border that frames the design nicely. The quilting is quite elaborate and done on a sewing machine. There is wear on the binding, the only condition issue. This full-size (78"X 92") 100% cotton quilt is clean and ready to use in your home. It may be washed in the washing machine and dried in the dryer. The quilt came from a Chicago collection formed during the 1980's.
