This vintage tea strainer dates from after 1910 according to the Wallace hallmark, and dates from before World War II with its bakelite (tested) handle. It rests on top of the teacup and is for loose tea. The decorative piercings allow hot water to reach the tea leaves and infuse. This tea strainer is in excellent original condition. The strainer portion measures 2 3/4" in diameter and is 1" deep. The handle is 2 3/4" long. This tea strainer weighs 40.5 grams.
