This sterling silver ring is marked "950" on the inside of the band. "950" is actually slightly more pure than sterling. The mark can be faintly seen in one of the photographs. The ring is older, pre-World War II, and beautifully cast. There is very nice detail on the horse's head and horseshoe which frames it, as well as on the sides of the ring. There are different symbols on the sides of the ring which, I believe, relate to the sport of polo. The ring is a size 9 and may be worn by either sex. The top of the ring is 3/4" across and 5/8" high. It is in excellent original condition, not showing much wear considering its age. It weighs 6.5 grams.
