This pretty and delicate lady's purse is made of tiny interlocking metal links that are enameled in red, green, yellow, and dark blue. The links are attached to a white metal frame that is enameled yellow and red on the outside with fleur de lis decoration. Inside, the frame is marked "Made in Germany." The bag has a 1 1/4" fringe along the bottom. There are two dark blue stones decorating the clasp. The chain handle is 12" long. This bag dates from around 1920. It is in good condition but not perfect; where the hinges of the frame meet, some of the links have become loose. This is shown in the photographs. In other respects, the bag is in nice shape. It measures 5 3/4" high by 4 1/2" wide. The handle adds 6" to the height. An Edwardian lady might carry a hanky and a bit of money in this little treasure.
