Here is a solid brass frame from around 1900-1920. It is oval in shape, measuring 3 3/4" X 5 1/4." The frame contains a vintage studio card photograph that has been trimmed to fit. The photo is 3 1/2" X 5." The back of the frame holds the photo and the original glass, which is rough around the edges (this does not show when the front is fitted to the back). A sturdy brass movable easel allows the frame to be placed on a table or cabinet. The frame does not move when placed on the cabinet. The frame has a patinated coating applied when it was new; this coating is a brass color; it is in good condition. A bit of brass polish has created pretty highlights on the front edges of the frame. The frame could be polished more if desired. A vintage frame is a good way to display a vintage family photograph.
