Here is a finely crafted Mexican sterling link bracelet by Isidro Garcia Pina, marked "Maricela" (his daughter's name). Its mark indicates a date of manufacture of around 1980-1985. Maricela jewelry shows the influence of pre-Columbian curvilinear forms. The design is dramatic with a black, acid-etched recessed area in the center of each link. Pina's workshop, or taller, was in Taxco. He was in business from 1943 until around 1985. This lovely bracelet has curved links that allow it to fit comfortably. It is 7/8" wide by 6 3/4" long. It will fit an average sized wrist. The piece is in excellent original condition with a nice patina. It has an insertion type clasp that is nearly invisible when clasped. The clasp is very secure. The piece is solid sterling and weighs 1 1/4 ounces.
