This turn-of-the-twentieth century pin features a hook on the back for attaching a fob, locket, or lapel watch. It is called a fob pin for this reason. This pretty pin is rose gold filled with a late Victorian or Art Nouveau design of a modified fleur de lis. (Most fob pins are in the fleur de lis design.) There is a gold-topped shield in the center suitable for a monogram. The catch is a C-catch, typical of ca. 1900 pins. The pin is of stamped construction with the shield applied to the surface. The hook is base metal. This pin is 1" wide, 7/8" high, and 1/4" thick. It may be worn with or without an attachment. There are no marks.
