This chunky catalin bakelite bangle is a true dark green with chartreuse (yellowish-green) marbling throughout. The Catalin Company of Chicago invented the process of swirling the two colors together when casting, hence the name. This bracelet passes all the tests for bakelite. It is mid-century in age. It is excellent vintage condition with its polish intact and no visible signs of wear. It is 1/2" wide, 3/8" thick, and slightly above average in size. Its inside circumference is 8," and its inside diameter is 2 9/16." This is an attractive cuff, and the colors coordinate nicely with other greens found in bakelite bangles.
