This "Lugano" luncheon plate (9") is in fine condition with no chips, cracks, scratches, wear, missing gold, or other issues. It does have crazing of the glaze. The maker is Ridgways; the mark dates the plate as ca. 1912-1920. The material is semi-porcelain, used extensively during this period. It has a more elegant and delicate look than the older ironstone. This pattern has an Art Nouveau look that is quite attractive for display. The glaze is a dark blue with deeper blue overtones. Lovely!
