This older Navaho cuff bracelet is molded sterling; it has been sand-cast. The mold is made of sand; the casting destroys the mold; sand-cast pieces like this one are unique. The bracelet tests sterling and is signed "J.H.B." This cuff features an oval cabochon turquoise stone in the center; the stone measures 1 1/4" X 7/8." The stone is polished smooth. It is a lovely robin's egg blue with a faint brown matrix dividing the stone; coloration is different on either side of the matrix. The finishing is of very fine quality; the bracelet is smooth inside and comfortable to wear. It is 1 3/4" wide, has an inside circumference of 7," a diameter of 2 12" and an opening of 1 1/4." The bracelet is solid with no flexibility. It weighs 65.3 grams. This handsome piece is around 50 years old and is in excellent original condition.
