This bakelite bangle is a true dark green in color, marbled throughout with yellowish green. This type of bakelite is called "catalin," named for the Chicago company that invented it. It dates from mid-century and passes the tests for bakelite. It is 7/8" wide, flat inside and rounded outside, 1/4" thick, and average in size. It's inside diameter is 2 1/2;" its inner circumference is 7 3/4." The bracelet is smoothly polished with no damage, wear, or scratches.
