This estate bangle is genuine vintage bakelite, dating from the 1930's. It passes the tests for bakelite. The age is apparent because the inside is visibly different in color than the outside.True bakelite is slightly unstable and changes color over time. This bangle is a bright, attractive green and has not turned yellowish or brown. The bracelet is 1" wide and 3/16" thick. Its inner circumference is 7 3/4." It will go over my hand (very arthritic) with a stocking over it. This bangle is in excellent condition with no issues.
