Here is a large pitcher, perhaps a hot-water pitcher from a wash set, in English flow blue. It is ironstone pottery and quite sturdy. The design is "Grace" from Grindley & Co. The piece is bright white with a deep blue, slightly flowed design. The wide border around the base of the pitcher is in a floral design with the flowers white and the background blue. There is gold trim. This pitcher is 8 1/2" tall with a wide flared lip and fancy handle. It is 8 1/2" across the handle and 6 1/2" wide. The mark dates from 1891-1914. The piece has a distinctively Victorian shape. It is in excellent original condition. It looks as if it has never been used but does have wear marks on its feet testifying to its age.
