This lovely comb dates from before World War II, probably from before 1930, as its composition is celluloid. Use of this early plastic material was discontinued around 1930. The celluloid has been colored to look like tortoise-shell. The frame of the comb is sterling silver (tested but not marked). The silver has a brushed finish with a pretty engraved swag design and a nicely hand-wrought crest on the top. There is an oval cartouche with a fancy monogrammed "ACG." This lovely comb would look great on your vanity next to your brush. It is clean and in excellent original condition. It measures 7 1/4" long by 1 9/16" wide by 1/4" thick. There are no marks.
