Here is a Victorian-era (ca. 1880) gold-filled mesh bracelet with a large, fancy gold-filled slide featuring a small white opal. The end is trimmed with a little chained fringe and held to the bracelet with a gold-filled brace. The bracelet opens to 8 1/2" in circumference, allowing it to fit over a large wrist. By holding the slide and pulling the end, the bracelet tightens to fit. The slide is very decorative with its 1880's geometric design. In the center is a pretty white natural opal. There are no marks on this bracelet. It is in excellent original condition and somehow escaped being broken up. The bracelet is 1/2" wide. The slide is a chunky one, 1/2" thick and 7/8" square.
