Here is an antique sterling silver pin designed to be worn on a shoulder or jacket lapel. A fob, locket, or lapel watch can be added by attaching it to the hook on the back of the pin, but this pin is pretty worn just by itself. The pin is in the form of a fleur de lis with attractive raised and beaded decoration. The pin, of cast construction and excellent workmanship, is smoothly polished and has darkened attractively with age. It dates from between 1900 and 1920; it has a modern hinge but a C-catch (the safety catch had not yet been invented). The clasp is secure, but wear an earring clutch on the pin bar if you are worried. This pin, in excellent original condition, measures 1 1/8" across, 1 1/8" high, and 1/4" thick.
