This pretty flow blue pottery covered vegetable dish has an impressed design around the base, rim, and edge of the lid that adds to its decorative quality. The transfer underglaze is delicate swags of deep blue roses enhanced with hand-applied gold decoration. The design has flowed significantly more on the base; the lid fits perfectly, so it must be presumed to be the original lid. There are applied handles at either end. The sculpted lid has a fancy knob decorated with gold. This dish is from Johnson Brothers Pottery in the design "Glenwood." The dish dates from around 1910-1930. It is in excellent original condition with no issues. It measures 11 1/2" long X 8" wide X 6 1/2" tall.
