With beautiful brilliant brite-cut work on the silverplated blade, this large, antique, Victorian period fish slice will make a splendid addition to your unique silver collection!
The edge has a lip that comes up as much as 1/2". It too is decorated with brite-cut work. The flat scooped edge has a lined edge.
The "business" part of the slice measures 7 5/8". The mother of pearl handle measures 4". Totally, the server measures a little over 13" (includes the banded piece attaching it to the handle).
The slicer feels very sturdy and solid - testimony to its quality. It is in excellent condition in every way. Nothing negative to mention.
It was manufactured sometime between 1851-1891 by Thomas Prime & Prime of Birmingham England. Very heavily plated.
