This expertly carved Shoushan stone figure represents the Chinese scholar Lu Dongbin holding a Taoist fly-whisk in one hand, a sword slung across his back, and wind-swept robes.
The very tip of the sword hilt is red.
This figure is mounted on what appears to be a rocky outcropping also of Shoushan stone. Beautiful detailing.
He stands 10" tall and is quite heavy. Excellent condition.
