This is a very striking piece with a decidedly Art Deco flare in the geometric design. It is a wonderful merging of East and West and New and Old. The design is distinctly Art Deco. Pre-1921 and just in the period of time when European Art Deco influences began being reflected in the Far Eastern designs and at the time, very "au courant" in the USA.
The dragons are depicted in a heavily applied cobalt blue enamel glaze. It provides a great contrast to all the other colors used.
