The Buch & Deichmann company produced modernist works of silver and gold-plated silver mainly in the 1970s. Designs made for the company featured notables such as Jacob Hull and Erik Dennung.
From what research we were able to glean from books and the Internet, this type of design was typical of the company, and the J.N.S. initials on the reverse likely indicate Jorn Nymann Sorensen.
Works of this sort are best known by Scandinavians, but American love of mid-century modern wares means that the knowlege base here is gaining strength in the US as well.
The total length is approx. 20". All original. While it looks heavy it is not. Very light and easy to wear.
