Hallmarked on the reverse with the puce Royal Worcester mark and Z date for 1888, this exquisite plate can be hung on the wall with a plate hanger or displayed grandly in a cabinet or sideboard with a plate stand.
It is one of several we acquired recently. They pair beautifully, or can be displayed in an array.
Each of these plates features very fluted and scalloped edges with bright gilt borders and gilded edgings around the flowers, leaves, and stems. Masterfully, executed, they are strong yet delicately depicted.
8 1/2" in diameter.
You will never get tired of looking at these beauties. Painted on a cream colored ground.
Excellent antique condition from the front. On the reverse side, the hanging holes which were molded into the rim are damaged requiring a plate hanger to hang on wall. A black star shows the area.
