This beautifully slip-decorated bowl features a wreathe of anemone flowers to form the border.
William Moorcroft, the originator of this type of slip decorated pottery regularly used that deep cobalt blue that makes the subject 'pop'!
Note the last photo shows an array of real-life anemones to compare how the designer interpreted nature into art pottery themes.
This bowl dates from the 1928-1949 period based on the mark on the base of the bowl. It measures 10 3/4" in diameter and 2 1/8 high - a relatively shallow shape easily used as a centerpiece (float flowers, add fruit, etc.).
Excellent original condition.
