This simply elegant domed, roll top server is a very functional item for any time of day. It is typically referred to though as a breakfast server, but obviously can be used at any meal time to present and serve whatever you see fit.
What we like best about it is the simplicity of the design with all of the ornate features reserved for the handles. These handles also serve as the mechanism by which you swivel the dome up and down. It comes with two trays. A solid one and a pierced one. It also has a slot for your serving utensil of choice.
This domed server was made ca. 1879 by the company of James Dixon & Sons of England.
From the tip of one handle to the other it measures approx. 13 3/4 and is approx. 8 1/4 wide. Dome open it is 4 1/2" high and closed it is 7 1/2" high.
