We could not specifically date this set, but it is very much in the Art Deco style and we think it dates from the 1930s-1950s.
The bold shiny black contrasted with the bright chromium yellow is very striking and makes a great table setting.
This set includes the teapot, creamer, 9 cups, 12 saucers, 12 dessert plates, a cake serving plate, and a creamer.
The shapes are also very typical of the Art Deco period.
There are no chips or repairs. Some surface crazing noticeable on the yellow areas on the interior of the teapot and on the cake server.
The teapot 10 1/2" across tip of spout to edge of handle. The creamer measures 7" across and 3" high. The saucers measure 5" in diameter and the cups (without handles) measure 3 1/4" in diameter. The dessert/salad plates are 7 1/2" in diameter. The cake plate is 10" in diameter and 11 1/2" across the handles.
It is my understanding that in Europe this pattern is called "Biarritz" and the shape is known as "Diamant".
