This figure depicts an older official of the emperor. He wears a queue (long braid). His hat can help identify this official's rank.

He is shown standing atop a low pedestal. His cobalt blue robe is decorated with an embroidered round medallion (badge) on the front and on the back. It shows dragons chasing a pearl. He is holding an object in his left hand which we cannot identify.

He is in excellent condition.

The figures shown in the group are listed separately and may or may not be still available. This is the smallest one in that particular group.

This figure measures just under 10 3/4" high.

Please note that these figures or similar ones have been made for decades in various sizes and various levels of quality. This one is particularly good and with good age to him. Likely dating from the early part of the 20th century.

The black and white photo shows a court official at the turn of the century in traditional dress.
