This rare, Grand Tour period clock stands 8" tall and is in working condition! The mandolin shape is very charming. The tall skinny part is lined with blue forget-me-not flowers while the oval body is strewn with multicolor 3-dimensional flowers of all sorts.
There are some minor losses which can be seen with the enlarged detail views but they are EXTREMELY minor. The face of the clock has discoloration around the edges which can, undoubtedly, be cleaned. It is not readily apparently to us how to take this apart in order to clean the clock face, otherwise we would have done it. The crystal is in excellent condition too. On the very bottom of the clockface is the word "foreign" - a term often used for non-USA made items during the 19th century.
This is a rare object and as such is priced accordingly.
