Purchased in the 1970's this necklace may be considerably older. It was purchased in an antique shop in NYC and was lovingly worn (by me) for many years. It has remained in my jewelry box, unworn, for the last 10 years or so. Time to let someone else enjoy it!
I lightly polished it but much of the patina/tarnish remains - it will be up to the new owner to determine how bright they wish it to be.
The alternating lozenge and round beads are handmade. They are strung on a very sturdy metal foxtail type chain. Fish hook style clasp. The length is 18 1/2".
It is unmarked but acid tests for sterling or better (at least 925/1000 parts silver).
