This most charming figure is such an admirable survivor of 100+ years of life!
Her adorable little lace dress might be missing a tiny patch of delicate lace but all of her teensy tiny fingers and toes are totally intact! In fact, as best I can tell (and you will see in the photos) there is only one bit of lace missing from her hemline.
Although unmarked, it is relatively easy to identify this as being a German made piece from the 19th century, Victorian era. The composition, workmanship, and features of the baby could not be replicated in the modern era with such delicacy and precision.
The sled measures 4 1/4" and is 1 3/16" wide. The baby herself measures a mere 2 1/2" x 2 1/4". The total height of sled plus baby is 3".
