One of the best in the current collection, this enamelled floral enamel work on guilloche'd sterling silver is in excellent condition. No damages to silver or enamel! Just plain pretty and excellent condition.
The finger chain can easily detach from the compact by way of its spring ring fitting.
The interior mirror is perfect and the original puffs (flat but still "puffs") are intact.
It is marked sterling on the machine-engineered back and hallmarked on the inside top of mirror (R&G Co. in a padlock for Ripley & Gowan).
This is a wonderful object de virtu and in extremely fine condition.
It measures 2 1/2" in diameter. It is 3/8" thick. The finger chain measures 4 1/4". The bail atop the compact adds 7/16" to height. The hinge works great. Clasp is secure. No problems at all!
The enamel work depicts a duo of pink roses in the center in an oval white cartouche which is surrounded by a baby blue enamel ground framed by two vines of lavender flowers and green leaves. Very pretty color combinations.
